Managing Copilot's Form Fill Assistance

Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the way we work, communicate, and innovate. Microsoft 365 Copilot, an AI-powered assistant, streamlines tasks across various Microsoft apps and services. One standout feature is the Copilot's Form Fill Assistance which eliminates the hassle of manual data entry in model-driven Power Apps by suggesting relevant information for your forms, saving you both time and effort.

How Does It Work?

Copilot’s AI-driven feature suggests data for fields within the main forms of your model-driven Power Apps drawing from your app usage, data patterns, and existing form content. Just a few clicks, and you're done! Less time spent on data entry, more focus on productivity.

Heads Up!

Although Copilot’s suggestions are helpful, some customers may find it tricky at first. The data appears in the fields as a suggestion (not filled automatically), which can lead to confusion that the field has already been filled in, therefore requiring an extra effort to double check before moving on.

But Not to Worry, Admins, You’re in Charge!

Admins can decide whether this feature needs to be on or off for their organization with easy management through the Power Platform admin center.

Admins can navigate to their Environments, click on Settings, and go to Product > Features within the AI Form Fill Assistance section. They can choose:

  • To make the feature available for all users as it rolls out, or for everyone immediately.

  • Or disable it by selecting “No one”
